Cliff Kuehn is a trademark attorney in San Francisco, California and counsels clients on all aspects of domestic and international brand protection and enforcement. Mr. Kuehn has been an Irish Registered Trademark Attorney since 2015 and also one of the few if any, American attorneys with significant working experience in the European Union Intellectual Property Office (“EUIPO”, or previously known as “OHIM”). There he worked in the litigation department representing the EUIPO in appeals before the EU Court of Justice, as well as consulted and drafted major sections of the trademark examination guidelines.

A Career Dedicated to Trademarks

Mr. Kuehn earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco and graduated with a certificate in Intellectual Property and Technology Law. He later earned a Master of Laws in European intellectual property law from Stockholm University, where his thesis explored the implications of 3D printing technology on European design laws.
